Welcome to SGS Vagdevi Center for the Rehabilitation of Communication Impaired

Sri Ganapathi Sachidananda (SGS) Vagdevi Centre for the Rehabilitation of Communication Impaired was founded by Dr. Shantha Radhakrishna, Speech-Language-Pathologist and Audiologist and national awardee in 2013. The centre was taken over by Avadhoota Datta Peetam Trust, Mysore in 2002 and since working under the tutelage of His Holiness Sri Sri Ganapathi Sachchidananda Swamiji and Sri Sri Datta Vijayananda Teertha Swamiji.

Mission

Mission 2020 to 2030: SGS Vagdevi envisions to touch at least 50,000 hearing impaired and other communication impaired lives by 2030, providing comprehensive quality education to the underprivileged communities

To empower hearing and communication impaired persons through developmental initiatives such as identification, diagnosis, early intervention and education

To create awareness about hearing and communication impairment through public education and multimedia .

Identifying hearing impaired children through infant hearing screening programs. Organizing camps in different parts of Karnataka to facilitate early diagnosis. Develop infrastructure for prevention, diagnosis and intervention with emphasis on rural areas.

Allow equal opportunities in education for children with disabilities, to inculcate moral, ethical and social values, to motivate them to become responsible citizens of the country.

Creation of a resource center that would be an information storehouse for the communication impaired..
