About SGS Vagdevi Center

Sri Ganapathi Sachchidananda (SGS) Vagdevi Centre for the Rehabilitation of Communication Impaired was founded by Dr. Shantha Radhakrishna, Speech-Language-Pathologist and Audiologist and national awardee in 2013. The centre was taken over by Avadhoota Datta Peetam Trust, Mysore in 2002 and since working under the tutelage of His Holiness Sri Sri Ganapathi Sachchidananda Swamiji and Sri Sri Datta Vijayananda Thirtha Swamiji. The centre addresses issues of people with communication impairment such as Hearing Impairment (HI), Learning Disability (LD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Cerebral Palsy (CP) , Aphasia, Dysphagia, Speech-Language Disorders resulting from Neurological disorders. The centre is catering to the economically weaker section of the society. The Centre has been recognized by Department for the Empowerment of Differently Abled and Senior Citizens and Department of Education, Government of Karnataka.

SGS Vagdevi – is well known in India and abroad working for the empowerment of persons with hearing impairment and communication disorders through its diverse initiatives focused on providing early infant stimulation program for the mothers and quality education. It facilitates opportunities to enable communication impaired population to keep pace with the rest of the society.
